Story

Jackal Protocol asked us to help them create a video that garnered attention for their blockchain and decentralized storage network. They wanted a fun and interesting way to speak to developers about past storage woes, while highlighting the innovative features of the Jackal Protocol. We created a whimsical “History of Storage” campaign that included a hero video along with humorous cutdown content. Along with it, we coined the new brand tagline “Actually decentralized storage for the modern world.”

Process

We researched storage history, wrote a killer script, and gathered materials for our shoot. We shot in the studio with a rotating platform highlighting the products in a museum-esque art style. We mixed the studio shots with 3D graphics created in blender to bring home the storytelling. We also created an identifiable brand mnemonic to be played at the front of each video to offer consistency across all content.

Results

Our hero video garnered over 200k impressions in the first week, while the cutdown videos offered new content to be shared over time and consistently bring attention back to the brand. We also ran a contest on X in which we gave away a prop from the video (a sweet ass 1939 International Business Machines hole punch!) and a bag of $JKL tokens.
