Polymer approached Coney Studios with a specific goal: to create an explainer video that effectively communicated their new blockchain that brings the IBC protocol to Ethereum's layer 2s. Our challenge was to produce an impactful, concise, engaging video with a fast turnaround. Polymer needed an interesting animation to share their vision, while rapidly building understanding and interest in their brand.

Process

Our journey at Coney Studios combined art and strategy. We crafted custom 2D animations, ensuring each element resonated with Polymer's branding. The process involved distilling Polymer's complex narrative into a concise, punchy script, in sync with the animations. We added a personal touch with custom-scored music from a friend of Polymer and a genuine voice-over from co-founder Peter Kim. This effort was a meticulous blend of creativity and precision, aimed at creating an engaging and informative video.

Results

The explainer video popped off on X. It quickly garnered nearly 1,000 likes and over 160,000 views in just a few days. This response indicated a strong audience connection and effectively communicated Polymer's message. The video laid a solid foundation for Polymer's brand communication, showcasing the power of visual storytelling in making complex technology accessible.
